HISTORY
OF THE "DE LA CROIX BERNIFA" BREEDING
Because
it isn’t really easy to write over myself, Fanny, my eldest
daughter, wrote these few words explaining how I discovered the Mudis
and so on…
"Dear Mom,
Below you will find some lines describing your adventure's story with
the Mudis such as I perceived it.
Following an article you read in the press, you were intrigued by this
canine race which comes straight from East Europe. Obviously, because
you’re curious, you went to one of this race’s
meetings
during the World Dog Show in Brussels in 1994. Over there you discussed
and appeased your curiosity by engaging the conversation with a Danish
owner of these adorable hairy balls. You fell in love at the first
sight! Of course you didn’t want to remain about it
there.
By the intermediary of a Hungarian friend, Mr Csaba, you got a pup
which wasn’t easy to find. Csaba had to visit much breedings
in
order to select a pup corresponding to your expectations. But 6 months
later, he held the rare pearl.
Our new family member was called Kövári Bajanduri
Kócos. He had a dynamic and joyful life. Unfortunately he
left
us too early because of a car accident.
However, well decided to promote the Mudi, Cisca, a beautiful white
bitch, joined us. Untill now, she gave us 2 splendid litters. Moreover
some of her pups still are part of our family. Currently Babou, a pup
of Cisca, takes the torch over.
We may not forget to talk about Blitz, "the male of our house"! Always
in love, faithful and attentive to his mistress. On the other hand,
Cisca, prefers to let herself cuddle unceasingly. And Babou never
misses an occasion to put her trick and prank ahead!
Thanks to a very good training, tons of love, much of time and
patience, you managed to make these dogs unique beings. All the pups
leaving home are socialized, attentive, curious to discovered new
things each day. Your greatest satisfaction is to make them and their
masters happy, isn’t it?
I am sure thanks to your restless work this race will have the deserved
rise and fame in Belgium and beyond.
Your daughter,
Fanny."
Here thus some remarks on our life with the Mudis written by my
daughter whom I'd also like to thank.
I’d also like to make a point of cordially thanking some
people
who helped me to better understand the temperament of this Hungarian
shepherd.
First of all, Mr Csaba who brought my first mudi to Belgium and who
permitted me to live magic moments with this race.
I also thank my friends in the Netherlands: Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb -
Koppelmans from the breeding "van Breughels Dreven", stockbreeders of
the 5 races of Hungarian shepherds.
Finally, I'd wish to thank my french friend, Mr. Maxime Boidin, who's
also a mudis' breeder, from the breeding «du Clos
Saint-Joseph»
Before closing, I'd like to add one more thing: only solidarity and
honesty between international breeders may seriously guarantee this
canine race's promotion!
